Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! All of our products come standard with a 100-night restful sleep trial. If you’re not fully satisfied after 21-nights, you may return your Nivons Mattress for a 100% refund.
We accept returns as long as they are within the 100-night trial. Because it can take up to a full-month for your body to adjust to a new mattress, we require a 21-night minimum on all of our mattresses before they can be returned. If you are not satisfied with your purchase after the minimum trial period and within 100 days of delivery, please contact our customer care center at +1 (844) 977-0707 or via email at email@example.com.
After your eligibility for return is completed, a customer care specialist will facilitate the process from start to finish. To be eligible, you must have completed your minimum 21-day trial period and within 100 days of delivery. Eligible mattresses must also be clean, undamaged and used with a mattress protector.
If 100 days have passed since your delivery, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To check the status of a return, please first check your email. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7-10 business days.
We’re always happy to assist in the status check of your refund. Please reach out to our customer care center at +1 (844) 977-0707 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At Nivons Mattress, we are committed to providing superior product strength and durability. Our main goal is to help you achieve restful, better-quality sleep, every night.
If you purchased a brand new Nivons Mattress in the contiguous United States, and your product was defective due to faulty craftsmanship or materials, we warrant that, at our option, we will replace or repair your Nivons Mattress. This warranty is eligible only for the original purchaser. The original purchaser must be able to provide proof of purchase, date of purchase, original warranty documentation, and the law tags from the mattress (need not be attached). The warranty extends 10 years from original purchase date of the original product purchased. This warranty is void if the Nivons Mattress is being used for commercial purchases or for any reason beyond normal in-home personal usage. Mattresses replaced under warranty are not eligible for model upgrade or downgrades. The warrantied, replacement mattress will be the same model as the original Nivons Mattress purchased.
During normal, properly supported usage (please see FAQ 1 under “Caring for your Nivons Mattress), this warranty shall only apply only if:
1. The materials of construction develop a visible indentation in the mattress, deeper than one (1) inch compared to the surrounding mattress at rest.
2. The materials of the mattress crack, split or otherwise fail during normal usage. This does not include improper storage.
About Nivons Mattresses
No. Nivons Mattresses are Certi-PUR approved, which means that they are rated as low-emission and made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, mercury, lead or heavy metals, formaldehyde or prohibited phthalates. This certification also requires the foam to have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
Once fully expanded, the Nivons Vuneks Mattress is twelve (12) inches tall while the Nivons Novi Mattress is eleven (11) inches tall.
Each Nivons Mattress is carefully and meticulously designed to give you the best, most restful night’s sleep. However, our customer care specialists are always available to chat about which Nivons Mattress is right for you. Nivons Mattresses are Certi-PUR Certified, which means that they are rated as low-emission and made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, mercury, lead or heavy metals, formaldehyde or prohibited phthalates. This certification also requires the foam to have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
Our mattresses are also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified in both the cover and the foam. This means that every component (down to every thread, zipper and lining) has been tested for harmful substances and is thus harmless in human ecological terms. In many cases, Standard 100 certifications go beyond national and international requirements. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements.
Our cover is N9 Certified for the Self-Clean Soladel.
The federal government requires all mattresses sold in the US to meet very stringent burn tests, as governed by 16 CFR 1633 and 1632.
A fire retardant knit sock covers the foam before the outer cover is placed on our mattresses. The knit sock is made from a proprietary yarn with a silica core and a polyester/acrylic/nylon/rayon outer wrap. When the yarn burns, a char barrier is formed, which prevents oxygen from feeding the flames.
This means that your Nivons Mattress is federally deemed fire retardant.
Of course! Our mattresses meet federal requirements for fire safety and will not melt or be damaged in any way with the normal usage of a heating pad or blanket.
At Nivons, we believe that a better night’s sleep is available at a better price for all our customers. This means that our mattresses do not have a weight limit and are designed to support our customers of all shapes and sizes.
Nivons Mattresses are shipped rolled in boxes and packaged in thick plastic to ensure ease of shipping and product longevity. Once you remove your mattress from the box and plastic sheeting, it will expand within minutes. Please note that it is possible for a mattress to take longer to expand in some cases. If your mattress has not fully expanded in a few days, please contact our customer care center at +1 (844) 977-0707 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Because the Nivons Mattress is packed for your protection in plastic sheeting, it may have a mild scent upon unboxing. However, this scent will dissipate within a few hours in a well-ventilated room. The mild scent is created by our adhesive, which is water-based and does not include chemicals, ensuring that your mattress is safe for you to sleep on for years to come.
Once your Nivons Mattress is fully expanded, you can sleep right away!
Nivons Mattresses weigh about exactly the same as a traditional mattress.
The Novi Mattress weighs 49 lbs. for a Twin mattress, 50 lbs. for a Twin XL mattress, 66 lbs. for a Full mattress, 75 lbs. for a Queen mattress, 94 lbs. for a King mattress, and 95 lbs. for a California King mattress.
The Vuneks Mattress weighs 57 lbs. for a Twin mattress, 60 lbs. for a Twin XL mattress, 79 lbs. for a Full mattress, 87 lbs. for a Queen mattress, 107 lbs. for a King mattress, and 108 lbs. for a California King mattress.
Caring for your Nivons Mattress
You do not need to use a box spring with your Nivons Mattress. The Nivons Mattress needs a sturdy, flat base to keep the warranty intact. You may use a platform foundation, box foundation, adjustable bedframe or slatted bedframe. To keep your mattress warranty intact, if using a bedframe with slats, please ensure that the slats are less than three (3) inches apart to ensure the best support.
It is important to note that bedframes and foundations with springs may cause your mattress to sag or tear and will void the warranty.
No. Nivons Mattresses are not designed to be flipped. We layer our materials from top to bottom to afford an optimal night’s sleep. Flipping the mattress will place our temperature control layer on the bottom, rendering it ineffective. Should you choose to, you may rotate your mattress, but it is not necessary to ensure the longevity of your mattress.
We recommend covering your Nivons Mattress with a waterproof mattress protector to extend the longevity of your mattress. We know that accidents happen, and while the Nivons Mattresses are all covered with a self-cleaning cover, we still recommend placing a waterproof cover over top.
While you cannot re-roll a Nivons Mattress to fit back into the box it was shipped in, it is still very easy to move with your Nivons Mattress. We recommend packing your mattress in a waterproof mattress bag (exact size) and folding your mattress over before securing with moving straps or tape. Your mattress will spring back to original shape and size after moving.
Oftentimes, it is said that a mattress should be replaced every ten years. However, there is no magic number to determine when you need a new mattress. Depending on usage and care, your mattress can last well-beyond the ten-year estimate. Nivons Mattresses are designed with longevity in mind, as shown in the actual construction of our mattresses. Our layers are stacked with the consumer in mind, and with normal usage, your mattress should last for years to come.
In order to extend the life of your mattress, we absolutely recommend using a mattress protector. If sleeping alone, rotating your mattress every 6 months can also extend the life of your mattress. However, never fear, because Nivons Mattresses are warrantied for ten (10) years, ensuring that you’re never at risk of a mattress failure for the life of the warranty.
